Privacy Policy

News Technologies LLC (NTL) takes the protection and proper use of your personal information seriously. We respect your privacy and take great care to safeguard the information you provide when signing up for our services or submitting comments, suggestions or problem reports.

From time to time, we may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical or other developments. In that event, the changes will appear at this location.

  1. Information Collection. Our Web site tracks usage data, including, for example, your IP address, your browser type and version, which pages you view, which page, if any, linked you to our site, and which link, if any, you follow off of our site. We use this data in the aggregate to better understand Web site activity to improve our site offerings. We do not share, rent or sell your information with outside companies for their promotional use. We do not track URLs that you type into your browser, nor do we track you across the Internet once you leave our site.

  2. Cookies. A cookie is a piece of data stored on your computer which contains identifying information about you so, for example, you do not have to supply a User ID every time you log in to Triggernews.com. Cookies are not linked to any personally identifiable information while you are logged into our site. Some of our business partners may use cookies on our site. We have no access or control over these cookies and most are used strictly for advertising purposes.

  3. Opt-Out Right. Users who do not wish to receive our communications or announcements through email or NTL-issued popup alerts may opt-out by preference selection when registering, by logging into their user account and making preference changes or by contacting NTL directly via postal mail or e-mail.

  4. Links. Triggernews.com may contain links to other sites (for example, our sponsors or partners). NTL is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. Users are encouraged to read the privacy policies of those sites before visiting them.

  5. Security. Personal information you provide us online is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL is the leading security protocol for data transfer on the Internet. This technology scrambles your account information as it moves between your PC's browser and NTL servers. When information is scrambled, or encrypted in this way, it becomes nearly impossible for anyone other than NTL to read it. This secure session helps protect the safety and confidentiality of your information when you are logged in.

  6. Company's Right to Contact User. NTL reserves the right to contact site visitors regarding account status and changes to the subscriber agreement, privacy policy, or any other policies or agreements relevant to site visitors.

  7. Legal Disclaimer. Every effort will be made to preserve user privacy, but if required by a court order or legal process, News Technologies may need to disclose personal information to satisfy a judicial proceeding.

  8. Limitation of Liability. BY ACCESSING THE TRIGGERNEWS SITE OR USING THE TRIGGERNEWS SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO HOLD HARMLESS AND WAIVE ALL CLAIMS AGAINST NTL AND ALL THIRD PARTY CONTENT PROVIDERS REGARDING THE INFORMATION PROVIDED AND ANY USE BY YOU OF SUCH INFORMATION. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AND UNDER NO LEGAL THEORY WHETHER IN TORT CONTRACT OR OTHERWISE, SHALL NTL OR ITS CONTENT PROVIDERS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PERSON FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY CHARACTER INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS FROM USE OF THE SOFTWARE OR SERVICE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION OR ANY AND ALL OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES EVEN IF NTL SHALL HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY OTHER PARTY.

THE TRIGGERNEWS SITE AND TRIGGERNEWS SERVICE ARE PROVIDED ON AN AS-IS BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. NTL DOES NOT REPRESENT OR GUARANTEE THE TRUTHFULNESS, ACCURACY OF RELIABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION RECEIVED BY AND PASSED THROUGH TO YOU FROM ITS CONTENT PROVIDERS.

FURTHER, IN NO EVENT SHALL NTLíS LIABILITY UNDER ANY PROVISION OF THIS AGREEMENT EXCEED THE LICENSE FEE PAID TO NTL FOR THE SERVICE. BECAUSE SOME STATES/JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
