News Technologies LLC Introduces Second Generation TriggerNews Private Label Desktop Alerting System

New System Expands the Features and Functionalities
Of News Technologies’ Already Market Leading Product

Portland, Oregon, November 8, 2004 — News Technologies LLC announced today the release of the second generation version of its TriggerNews PL (Private Label) product. This new system greatly extends the power, ease-of-use, functionality and especially, the advertising potential of its current TriggerNews PL product line.

TriggerNews PL Version 2 ups the ante for capabilities in the desktop news alerting universe. A very small sample of the newest features found in this offering includes:

  • An iconic user interface to dramatically grab the attention of end users in new and innovative ways. The user interface now employs customer-customizable icons.
     
  • End user windows (open client window, popup windows, etc.), now support "skins", providing rich visual appeal and opening up a whole new approach to sell advertising or use for unique branding.
     
  • Popup alert windows can be unique and individually sized, then saved off as templates for later use with any alert type.
     
  • Multiple "pill-sized" windows (small, unique, persistently open desktop windows), can be created to display at any size and with almost any kind of data or graphics imaginable. Specialty branding or advertising skins can also be applied.
     
  • Geographic targeting of alerts delivered to defined regions only is supported.
     
  • Alerts can be scheduled for automatic delivery at specified dates and times and can also be set up to be repeated.

Many more features and capabilities are found in the new system. Like its predecessor, TriggerNews PL Version 2 is sold in single brand or multi-brand configurations. Fully branded client applications retain their amazingly small, compact size of only around 250Kbytes each.
