New System Will Provide Chronicle Users with Immediate AP News Alerts

Portland, Oregon, March 11, 2004 -- News Technologies LLC announced today that SFGate.com, the digital arm of the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper, selected TriggerNews PL (Private Label) as their branded news alerting system.

The hundreds of thousands of users who come to the SFGate.com and San Francisco Chronicle web sites daily for information, will have the ability to receive personalized Associated Press desktop news alerts through a popup, mini-slider, email digest and/or a news ticker. Alerts will be filtered and sent based on users selecting their own categories of interest and/or entering their own personal trigger (filter) words, thereby ensuring they receive only the news they want to receive.
